you've got questions?
we have answers.
are your products safe for sensitive skin?
Each of our products were curated to accommodate all skin types. For those with extra sensitive skin, psoriasis or chronic eczema, we always suggest using our unscented products (natural) which do not contain any additional fragrance.
Disclaimer: Each product description includes a complete list of ingredients. People with sensitivities to any listed ingredient should refrain from using the product. Please test on a small patch of skin before using any products on your whole body. If redness or irritation occurs, please discontinue use.
are your products 100% natural?
We strive to keep our product line as natural as possible. Our products include 97% - 99% natural ingredients, but we have included a few high-quality, skin-safe synthetics to our formulas for hygenic, functional and cosmetic purposes. All ingredients are listed in each product description and every product label. We love researching and learning about different ingredients in skincare products and hope you do too!
how often should I use a scrub?
It is dermatologically recommended to exfoliate 2-3 times a week, but this is definitely a personal preference. If your skin likes it rough, it is up to your discretion how many times you scrub. For more sensitive skin, we recommend you be gentle and scrub no more than 3 times a week.
will using a coffee scrub get rid of my stretch marks and cellulite?
Contrary to what the internet says, using any sort of scrub will not get rid of stretch marks and cellulite! However, there are many benefits to exfoliating. Coffee is full of antioxidants which may help with boosting collagen levels and promoting faster cell regeneration which is what gives you that glow. Caffeine also stimulates blood flow which can have a natural tightening effect on the skin. All in all, exfoliating is fantastic, but let’s all learn to love the skin we are in rather than wishing parts of it away.

are coffee scrubs safe for pregnancy?
While some caffeine may be absorbed into the skin, the amount is minimal and will not reach the bloodstream. All our coffee scrubs are made with natural, skin-safe ingredients that are considered safe to use during pregnancy. However, if you are unsure or are sensitive to caffeine, we recommend consulting your doctor first.
are your products safe for children?
We have received fantastic feedback from many mamas about the benefits our body butters and oils have had on their little ones’ skin. We recommend using only unscented products for children as their skin is often less tolerant of fragrance.
We advise against using coffee or sugar scrubs on children as the exfoliant can be too abrasive for their delicate skin.
can I use your products on my tattoos?
The ingredients in our Natural Body Butter are full of vitamins, minerals and skin-healing properties, minus the fragrance, making this product safe for tattoo aftercare. We do not recommend using any of our scented body butters on fresh tattoos as fragrance can cause irritation to open wounds. Please check with your tattoo artist for aftercare details.
We advise against using body oils or scrubs on fresh tattoos. Please wait until the area has completely healed before using either of these products on your inked skin.
is your packaging reusable or recyclable?
We design our products with sustainability in mind so packaging can be reused or recycled. All of our shipping materials are paper-based for easy recycling. We love to hear about and see how you’ve repurposed your bean + butter jars, so feel free to send us some cute pics!
what if my products arrive melted?
All of our body scrubs and butters are made with natural plant butters which means they are made to melt around body temperature or heat. It is possible for these products to melt while in transit, especially in the summer months or hot climates. If products arrive melted, we won’t be able to replace or refund them, so please order at your own risk. Although products can melt, it does not compromise their function. Just pop them in the fridge until they have solidified and continue using (although they may not look as nice). Please keep products away from heat and direct sunlight.
For any products that have arrived damaged, please refer to
